Circulars, 1949–1986

Circulars were used to publish and distribute timely information on research activities (e.g., Alaska stream catalogs); the format enabled researchers to circumvent some of the lengthier routes to publishing information that was needed by a certain date. The circular format also accommodated unsolicited reports.
