Everyone else and their penguin has a page on the net so my bicycles have one too!. I am the proud posessor of more bikes than I could possibly fall off in a week of trying. But I have been known to try.
People say that I have too many bicycles. This is not true, every bike has its purpose and there is no duplication. I have a road bike, it's nice for riding on the road. I can't ride it when it is raining and muddy though, so I need another road bike for that. I also commute to work, it is on the road, but I can't use one of the good bikes because they'll be stolen, so I have a commuting bike (which is a wreck, in perfect working order...) It is impossible to ride a road bike off-road, so I have a mountain bike. It's a good bike tho', so I'm thinking about buying another one for when the weather is not so good. I do all my own repairs, so I need spares of everything, this means at least one and a half bike's worth, and that's just for the road bikes. Then I need a cyclo cross bike for that, another cyclo cross bike for training, a tandem for riding with company, and an off road tandem for riding with company off road, and a recumbent for when my back is bad, and a unicycle for fun.....
And then I move to another country, and don't take my bikes, and need to buy a whole new set :-)
My mountain bike went to Sweden when it was new, accompanied by Ivan's two bikes and three idiots (me, Angus and Ivan - that's us!)
We rode in all sorts of places, most of which were not appropriate for bicycles and we got cold, wet and muddy.
But that's what it's supposed to be about, isn't it.
