The AFS-UW student chapter provides a valuable resource to students considering careers in fisheries, and provides its student members a chance to establish relations with local professional researchers and become involved in community outreach. There is no fee to become a WABC student chapter member.

The NatureMapping Program

Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST)

COASST is a citizen science project that recruits volunteers to survey coastal beaches in Washington and Oregon to provide long-term baseline data on seabird beaching, and become an active voice in coastal marine conservation. For more info, please see:
