TGIT
We cordially invite you to join us for TGIT every Thursday following the scheduled SAFS seminar. This weekly social event provides a great opportunity to mingle with faculty, students, staff, and our invited seminar speaker. Rumor has it that TGIT's origins can be traced back to the inaugural cohort of thirteen students that enrolled in fisheries at UW in 1919, in what was then the first US College of Fisheries (COF). A different lab organizes the purchase and setup of snacks and beverages each week. Check below to see when your lab is scheduled and what your duties are.

SAFS Picnic
Come join us at this annual spring event on the lawn of the SAFS building. Last year, items on the grill included coho and sockeye salmon and snapper (green listed), veggies, beef and turkey burgers brawts, hotdogs, and veggie dogs. Sides were potato salad, fruits, chips, and cookies. And drinks were sodas, beer, and wine. To top it all off, live music, frisbees, face painting and hula-hoops ensured heightened merriment.
