Graduate Curriculum Committee (GCC)

The curriculum committee for SAFS contains the department director and associate director, other SAFS faculty, and graduate student representatives. The body typically meets on a bi-weekly basis throughout each academic quarter to discuss issues related to both undergraduate and graduate level coursework. The meetings are open to any SAFS graduate students interested in learning more about the activities of the committee but no formal minutes are readily available or posted online at this time. The graduate students appointed to the curriculum committee will give updates to the other graduate students via email postings as alterations or new standards are established.

Graduate & Professional Student Senate (GPSS)

SAFS senators represent the interests and opinions of SAFS grad students to the entire UW grad student community. GPSS lobbies the WA legislature on behalf of UW grad students, represents graduate students in local governmental affairs, and deals with grad student issues on campus. Updates are emailed to graduate students weekly. All students are welcome to attend monthly meetings. Please see the GPSS website for more information.
