Following a long and distinguished career in fisheries, John Peterson (UW 1940) and his wife Hazel B. Peterson established this scholarship fund. The purpose of the fund is to assist undergraduates and graduates and stimulate interest in marine research focused on the fish and shellfish populations of the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska.
